Marisa Dengate is an artist, illustrator, and designer who dabbles in many creative areas, from editorial illustration to surface design, retail product design, and more.

Known best for her food illustration, her work explores the intersection of mark-making, painterly textures, and vintage aesthetics. Her versatile style has allowed her to work with brands like Grand Rapids Magazine, ban.do, The Kitchn, and more.

Earning her B.F.A. in 2022, Marisa graduated with honors from the Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan. Since the young age of two she has always been “explosively creative” as she describes, continuously searching for the next chance to start a project.

Outside of business hours, she loves to commune with nature, work on DIY projects, try artisan cheeses, and spend time with her family and fur babies.
